Job Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for critical maintenance and repair work on large turbo generators, with a specific focus on rotor and stator rewinding operations. This role requires precision, expertise, and hands-on experience with heavy electrical machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform expert-level winding, rewinding, and repair of large turbo generator rotors and stators.
- Conduct diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting on turbo generator systems.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality standards during all technical operations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal generator performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on projects.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or High School certificate is required.
- Experience: Proven, hands-on experience working with large turbo generators, specifically in rotor and stator rewinding.
- Preferred Background: Candidates with experience from the following companies will be given preference: BEWBEC, Bangalore Coils, Evans Electric, TGRS, GE, Siemens, ABB, Sulzer, Toshiba, ex-Alstom, Brush, MD&A.
