Job Overview
Alfanar, a leading company in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Transformer Technician to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on testing and maintenance of power transformers, reactors, and switchgear.
- Conduct detailed tests including ACDB/DCDB components, contact resistance, auxiliary relays, and MCB testing in control and protection panels.
- Test surge arrestors, CT and VT systems, and perform LV cable insulation and continuity checks.
- Execute control cable phasing and insulation tests, as well as EHV/HV/MV switchgear testing (SF6 gas, CT, VT, MCB, MCCB, auxiliary relays).
- Carry out auxiliary and power transformer testing: oil dielectric breakdown, turns ratio, winding resistance, and DC insulation resistance.
- Perform reactor testing and insulation checks to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or ITI in a relevant field (electrical engineering or similar).
- Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in a transformer manufacturing, testing, or service company. GCC work experience is preferred.
- Specialization: Must have proven expertise in power transformer-related activities, as outlined in responsibilities.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be under 40 years of age.
- Location: Position based in KSA (Saudi Arabia). Candidates from India are encouraged to apply.
