Alfanar, a prominent company in Saudi Arabia, is expanding its team and seeking skilled professionals for substation projects. We are currently hiring for two key positions: Testing & Commissioning Engineer (Substation) and Electrical Technician (High Voltage Substation). Available Positions
Testing & Commissioning Engineer (Substation)
Salary: Negotiable (Based on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and commissioning activities for substation projects
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
- Coordinate with project teams and clients
Requirements:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
- 5 to 8 years of T&C experience in substations
- Strong knowledge of 132/220/380 kV systems (AIS/GIS)
- Experience with relay testing using Omicron, ABB, or Siemens equipment
- Ability to read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), logic, and protection diagrams
- SEC/NG project experience preferred
Electrical Technician (High Voltage Substation)
Salary: Negotiable (Based on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high voltage substation equipment
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- Diploma / ITI in Electrical or relevant technical trade
- 3 to 5 years of High Voltage (HV) substation experience (132 kV, 220 kV, 380 kV)
- Knowledge of both GIS and AIS equipment
- Hands-on experience with transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers (CB), current transformers (CT), potential transformers (PT), and cable termination
- Ability to read Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical drawings
- Strong safety knowledge, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and safe earthing practices
- Prior Gulf experience is preferred
