Job Overview
Ambe International, with over 40 years of recruitment expertise, is seeking a highly experienced RAMS Manager for a major long-term Underground Metro Rail Project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is a critical leadership role focusing on Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) for a large-scale metro infrastructure development.
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead and manage all RAMS activities throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of system safety and reliability are achieved and maintained, in compliance with international railway standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the RAMS Plan in accordance with the EN 50126 lifecycle.
- Define and allocate system-level RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) targets.
- Perform detailed analyses including FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), RBD (Reliability Block Diagram), and other reliability assessments.
- Evaluate MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) and develop effective maintenance strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant international standards such as EN, IEC, and NFPA.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for RAMS aspects of the project.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Systems Engineering).
- Certification: RAMS or Functional Safety Certification is highly preferred.
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 12 years of overall experience within the Railway, Metro, or High-Speed Rail sector.
- Leadership Experience: 5 to 7 years of specific, hands-on experience in a RAMS leadership or management role.
Required Systems Exposure
Candidates must have proven experience working with or managing RAMS for the following systems: Signalling, Rolling Stock, Power Systems, Telecom, SCADA, and Civil infrastructure related to railway projects.
