Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical
Location: Bahrain (Long-term Project)
Salary: BHD 1,200 – 1,400 per month
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical) to join a long-term project in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and a strong background in cost management, contract administration, and mechanical works estimation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for mechanical projects.
- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and valuations from drawings and specifications.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to negotiate contracts.
- Manage variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Use cost management software (CostX, Procore, Buildertrend) efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- GCC experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in cost management software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and legal standards.
