We are seeking an experienced Quality Laboratory Supervisor (Chemical) for a long-term opportunity in Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing chemical analysis of metals and materials used in casting and forging processes to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Operations Management
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct training for laboratory staff.
2. Chemical Analysis & Review
- Perform chemical composition analysis (OES, XRF, ICP).
- Prepare samples and review test results for accuracy.
3. Quality Assurance Support
- Verify chemical conformity of materials during production.
- Conduct tests based on customer and certification body requirements.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare test reports and manage analytical data.
- Investigate quality issues and propose corrective actions.
5. Team Leadership & Training
- Assign tasks and manage performance of lab personnel.
- Train new employees and interns on lab procedures.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in metal industry or quality control.
- Proven experience in laboratory management and analytical equipment operation.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in operating OES, ICP, XRF and other analytical instruments.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO and ASTM.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Competence in technical writing and reporting.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand technical documents in English.
- Experience with quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025) is a plus.
