About the Role
We are hiring a qualified QC Inspector – Welding (Structural) for an urgent requirement in Qatar. The ideal candidate should have an Engineering Degree/Diploma with 10 years of working experience in the Oil & Gas industry and at least 5 years of offshore fabrication experience. Candidates with experience in similar Sleeper, Deck & Jacket projects and familiarity with onshore fabrication, inspection and installation will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality control and welding inspections on structural fabrication works.
- Verify compliance with project specifications, datasheets, codes and standards.
- Conduct visual inspections and NDT methods including UT, RT, PT and MT.
- Review WPS/PQR, welder qualifications and inspection records.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and fabrication teams to ensure quality compliance.
Qualification & Experience
- Engineering Degree / Diploma
- 10 Years Working Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Minimum 5 Years Offshore Fabrication Experience
- Experience in similar Sleeper, Deck & Jacket Projects
- Familiar with Onshore Fabrication, Inspection & Installation
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of QA/QC Regulations, Datasheets, Codes & Standards, including:
AWS, ASME, BS EN, API, ASTM, DNV, NACE, ISA, ANSI, IEEE, NEMA
Certification
- CSWIP 3.1 or Higher / AWS-CWI / SCWI
- ASNT Level II – UT, RT, PT & MT
- TWI
- API RP 2X
Code Knowledge
- AWS D1.1
- API 1104
- ASME IX
- ASME V
- ASME III
- API 650
- API RP 2A-WSD
Also familiar with AWS, ASME, BS EN, API, ASTM, DNV, NACE, ISA and ANSI standards.
