Job Opportunity: QC Engineer & QC Inspector (ASME Works) – UAE

Bright International is seeking qualified professionals for long-term projects in UAE involving Pressure Vessels, Boilers, Piping Systems, and ASME Code Fabrication Works.

Job Summary

Inspection and quality assurance of pressure vessels, boilers, piping systems, and fabrication works in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes, National Board requirements, and applicable international standards.

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • QC Engineer: B.E. in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Welding with 10+ years of experience.
  • QC Inspector: 8+ years of experience in Oil & Gas / Pressure Vessel / Fabrication industry.

Professional Certifications

  • QC Engineer: CSWIP / AWS, ASNT / PCN, ISO
  • QC Inspector: API 510 / API 570 / API 653, ASME Inspector, U Stamp / R Stamp

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Authorized Inspectors (AI) to ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII requirements.
  • Prepare, review and maintain WPS, PQR, WPQ and welding traceability records per ASME Section IX and BS EN standards.
  • Conduct inspection of pressure vessels, boilers, piping systems, and welded components as per ASME Section I, VIII, IX, and applicable codes.
  • Perform shop and field inspections during fabrication, erection, testing, and commissioning.
  • Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and non-destructive testing (RT, UT, MT, PT).
  • Ensure material traceability, calibration status, and compliance with approved quality procedures.
  • Monitor fabrication activities to confirm compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and code requirements.
  • Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and final documentation.
  • Verify pressure test packs, inspection records, and certification documents before code stamping or final release.
  • Review and verify ASME U-Stamp fabrication documentation, nameplate details and compliance records.
  • Prepare and compile Manufacturing Data Records (MDRs) and final quality dossiers for client approval.
  • Develop, review and update ASME QC Manuals and procedures in line with latest code editions.
  • Support and facilitate ASME ‘U’ Stamp and ‘R’ Stamp audits, ensuring full audit readiness and compliance.
  • Coordinate with clients, third-party inspection agencies, regulatory authorities, and project teams.
  • Support audits, vendor assessments, and certification activities.
  • Maintain inspection diaries and accurate project records.
