Job Responsibilities
- Operate conventional workshop machines including Lathe, Milling, Radial Drill, Surface/Cylindrical Grinding, and Band Saw machines.
- Perform precision machining, repair, and fabrication of mechanical components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, and technical documents.
- Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Dial Gauges, and Bore Gauges.
- Carry out machining of shafts, sleeves, bushes, flanges, couplings, and other rotating equipment parts.
- Ensure compliance with workshop quality standards, safety procedures, and housekeeping requirements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report any equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Work independently and support maintenance activities during shutdowns and plant operations.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Lathe, Milling, Radial Drill, Grinding, and Band Saw machine operation.
- Precision measurement tools: Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, and Bore Gauge.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Mechanical component fabrication and repair.
- Strong knowledge of conventional machining practices and precision measurement tools.
- Good understanding of HSE standards and safe workshop practices.
- Workshop quality and safety standards.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
