Job Summary
We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Highway Manager / Senior Engineer to lead road design and construction supervision for a major highway project in South Sudan. The successful candidate will manage the project team, ensure quality and safety, and administer EPC/Design & Build contracts in a challenging post-conflict environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Team Leader / Project Manager for road upgrading and rehabilitation projects.
- Direct and manage major civil engineering works, including design and construction supervision.
- Administer contracts using international best practices (FIDIC, etc.).
- Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with modern highway construction technology.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Highway, Traffic, or Transport Engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered or registered Engineer preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience.
- At least 5 years as Team Leader / Project Manager on road design and construction supervision of highway projects.
- Experience in safety audits and working in post-conflict regions.
- Proven managerial capability directing major civil engineering works.
- Familiarity with EPC/Design & Build contracts and claims administration.
Language Skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
