Job Profile and Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily DG operational checks and ensure units remain in standby/automatic mode.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per the scheduled maintenance plan.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including issues with control panels, alternators, and wiring systems.
- Configure, test, and reset faults on various controllers such as Deep Sea, ComAp, SmartGen, and Woodward.
- Strictly adhere to all electrical safety procedures, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), grounding/earthing, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor utility systems and ensure uninterrupted power supply through diesel generators.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any anomalies.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as a Generator Technician or similar role, specifically with diesel generators.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Relevant technical certification or training is preferred.
