J.M. Mehta & Co. is recruiting for shutdown requirements for a reputed oil and gas company in Oman. Shortlisting is in progress for the final client interview. We are seeking experienced professionals for key electrical roles to ensure safe and efficient shutdown operations.
Available Positions
01. Electrical Supervisor
Plan, coordinate, and supervise 132 kV substation shutdown activities, including isolation, earthing, and safety preparations. Ensure proper implementation of Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work (PTW), and high-voltage safety procedures. Lead teams of technicians and helpers during dismantling, inspection, and maintenance tasks. Oversee maintenance and testing of 132 kV circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, transformers, and protection relays.
02. Electrical Technician
Carry out shutdown-related maintenance on 132 kV GIS/AIS, power transformers, CTs, PTs, breakers, isolators, and cables. Execute mechanical and electrical checks on high-voltage equipment during isolation. Assist with switching operations following supervisor instructions and safety rules. Diagnose faults discovered during shutdown and perform corrective actions. Support commissioning after shutdown activities, ensuring proper equipment energization.
Candidate Requirements: Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in large shutdown jobs within Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, or Petrochemical Plants.
