Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Install tools, clamps, fixtures, and wood panels.
- Program Loading: Load CNC programs and verify toolpaths.
- Operation Monitoring: Run cycles and adjust feeds/speeds.
- Material Handling: Prepare and position wood boards, MDF, and plywood.
- Quality Inspection: Measure parts and check surface quality.
- Tool Maintenance: Replace dull tools and clean dust extraction systems.
- Troubleshooting: Solve toolpath, vibration, burning, and accuracy issues.
- Documentation: Record production and quality results.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety rules, use PPE, and maintain a clean workspace.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Drawing Reading: Interpret woodworking plans and CAD drawings.
- CNC Machine Knowledge: Experience with CNC routers, nesting machines, or 3/5-axis centers.
- Wood Material Knowledge: Understand wood behavior, grain direction, and machining characteristics.
- CAM Software: Familiarity with ArtCAM, Fusion 360, WoodWOP, or similar.
- Precision Measurement: Use calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and templates.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Know cutting tools, spindle behavior, and feed/speed optimization.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and consistent quality.
