Job Overview
As an Auto Electrician (Heavy), you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in heavy-duty vehicles and equipment used in the Oil & Gas sector. Your expertise will ensure operational efficiency and safety across our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and replace defective electrical components in heavy equipment and vehicles, including wiring, sensors, and ECU systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on earth movers, lifting equipment, and other heavy machinery.
- Install, service, and troubleshoot GPS units, vehicle alarm systems, and AC wiring.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and procedures.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of overseas experience working as an Auto Electrician, specifically with heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Hands-on, practical experience with earth movers, excavators, cranes, and similar lifting equipment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of electrical components: alternators, starters, wiring harnesses, air conditioning units, etc.
- Must be skilled in installing aftermarket systems like GPS and security alarms.
- Must hold a valid driving license and be proficient in driving four-wheeler vehicles.
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
