Key Responsibilities (General)
- Maximise production and profit by planning and organising all farm activities within assigned areas, making efficient use of resources.
- Supervise feed plant operators/labours to achieve production targets based on Standard Operating Procedures and company ingredient specifications.
- Control and motivate personnel to operate within defined safety and quality standards.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the main laboratory function, ensuring physical, chemical, and microbiological tests are conducted accurately according to sampling and testing regimes.
- Plan, organise, and manage a self-directing multi-skilled team to provide engineering/maintenance services, meeting internal customer requirements and management performance standards.
- Ensure all operations meet defined safety and quality standards.
- Handle day-to-day activities of the maintenance section for efficient operation of machinery and equipment in the Poultry Farming section.
Role-Specific Requirements & Skills
Team Manager, Senior Unit Manager, Unit Manager, Farm Maintenance Supervisor
- Experience in Feed Mill or Flour Mill.
- Knowledgeable in computer (MS Office).
- Hands-on experience as control room operator.
- Experience in Feed Mill machinery or similar.
- Familiarity with PLC/SCADA controlled systems, termination, troubleshooting, and testing electrical devices.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or another industrial environment.
- Basic understanding of Food Safety requirements, including GMP and HACCP principles.
Feed Officer, Farm Maintenance Specialist II
- Hands-on experience in feed mill equipment, repairs, and maintenance.
- Preventive/corrective maintenance skills.
- Hands-on experience with PLC, VSD, sensors, motor control, pumps, burners maintenance/operation.
- Experience in Electrical Engineer/Electrical Maintenance Engineer (PLC, VSD/VFD, Soft starters, Troubleshooting).
Team Leader (Ship Foreman)
- Experience as Assistant Master Stevedore.
- Experience as Ship Foreman.
- Experience in shipyard or maritime operations.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and safety knowledge.
Team Leader (Crane Operator)
- Experience as Mobile Crane Operator.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Strong focus on safety and teamwork.
- Strong knowledge of lifting techniques and safety standards.
Team Leader (Rigger)
- Experience as Heavy Duty Rigger.
- Proven experience in rigging operations.
- Previous team leadership experience.
Training Officer
- Experience in manufacturing and developing training materials for manufacturing.
- Ability in coordinating and conducting technical training programs.
- Familiarity with training documentation, competency assessments, tracking, and training records.
