1. Technician – Electrical / Mechanical (BHS – O&M)
Vacancies: 15 Positions
Role Purpose
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the airport’s Baggage Handling System, ensuring equipment availability and reliability across assigned shifts in line with the O&M team’s operating standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance (PM) on BHS equipment – conveyors, motors, gearboxes, drives, PLC-controlled sortation and scanning equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls during assigned shifts.
- Perform shift-start and shift-end inspections and complete maintenance logs and spare-parts records.
- Escalate recurring or critical faults to the shift supervisor and support root-cause investigation.
- Follow safety, PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with skilled workers and support planned shutdown/maintenance activities.
- Maintain compliance with airport access, security and operational regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical or Mechanical trade.
- BHS experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Equivalent industrial/airport MEP maintenance experience is acceptable.
- Basic understanding of PLC-based conveyor/sortation systems is an advantage.
- Good safety awareness.
- Willingness and physical fitness to work rotating shifts.
2. Assistant Technician – Electrical / Mechanical (BHS – O&M)
Vacancies: 10 Positions
Role Purpose
Provide hands-on support to Technicians in the day-to-day upkeep of the Baggage Handling System, carrying out general mechanical/electrical support tasks, housekeeping, and basic maintenance duties under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Technicians with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on BHS conveyors and related equipment.
- Carry out basic mechanical/electrical support work (fastening, lubrication, cleaning, minor part replacement) under guidance.
- Support material handling, spare-parts movement, and general upkeep/housekeeping of the BHS work areas.
- Perform basic fault-spotting and report abnormalities promptly to the Technician or shift supervisor.
- Follow safety, PPE and access-control procedures at all times.
- Support planned shutdown/maintenance activities as directed.
Requirements
- Basic technical/trade schooling or equivalent practical experience (client has not specified a formal minimum).
- BHS experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with industrial or conveyor equipment is an advantage.
- Willingness and physical fitness to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team in a live airport environment.
