URGENT REQUIREMENT
FOR LEADING CASTING & FORGING INDUSTRY
QC INSPECTOR – DIMENSIONAL
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Carry out dimensional inspection of castings & forgings as per drawings & specifications.
– Maintain measuring & test equipment with valid calibration status.
– Measure & accept as per ISO 8062 standard or as per customer requirement/drawing.
– Coordinate with concerned departments for corrective actions on dimensional deviations.
– Maintain dimensional inspection reports and documents.
– Follow up on dimensional corrections & monitor NCR effectiveness.
– Ensure casting marking & lettering as per customer drawings & specifications.
– Carry out visual inspection on sample & bulk castings / forgings.
– Assist in developing dimensional inspection standards with QC Engineer.
REQUIREMENTS:
– Education: ITI Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification preferred.
– Experience: Minimum 5 years in dimensional inspection. Experience in steel casting/forging industry is must. CMM inspection & programming experience is preferred.
– Certifications: ASNT Level II – Visual Inspection preferred. ASNT Level II – MT/PT preferred.
– Technical Skills: Proficient in inspection equipment & quality standards. Ability to read engineering drawings & GD&T. Knowledge of ISO, ASME & ASTM standards. Knowledge of moulding & core assembly.
– Other Skills: Good knowledge of MS Office. Safety- and quality-focused mindset.
