Job Overview
Our client, a renowned leader in the Elevator industry in the UAE, is urgently seeking an experienced Adjuster to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled professionals with a strong background in elevator installation and adjustment.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety and compliance rules of the company.
- Report immediately all safety violations, hazards and issues to supervisor and participate in rectification.
- Follow installation and quality procedures of the company.
- Use of PPEs as per the installation procedures and the risk assessment.
- Responsible for the maintenance of his PPEs (Personal Protection Equipment).
- Must reach schedule by the AIM and the supervisors following the Installation procedures.
- Install mechanically and electrically, inspect, and adjust installed freight and passenger elevators and escalators to meet factory specifications and safety codes.
- Inspect door installations for plumbness, lap, and working action; adjust mechanism of doors using hand tools.
- Inspect car hoistway and mechanical installations for alignment and clearance.
- Test power consumption and line voltage changes of motors and motor-generator sets under no-load and full-load conditions; adjust counterweights and regulate controls.
- Inspect wiring connections and control panel hook-ups; adjust switches to meet specifications for gap and timing.
- Test and adjust safety controls such as brakes and governors.
- Turn valve or push switches to adjust pump pressures, fluid levels, and power supply on hydraulic units.
- Operate elevator to determine power demands at various car speeds.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience as an Elevator Adjuster.
