Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Cook, Commis, or Kitchen Staff
- Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safety procedures
- Food Safety/HACCP certification preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Perform ingredient preparation such as washing, chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning
- Use various cooking techniques including grilling, frying, baking, roasting, and steaming
- Ensure all meals are presented attractively and served on time
- Maintain strict sanitation and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and storage
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients before use
- Follow health, safety, and food handling regulations at all times
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow
