QA/QC Lead Engineer / Manager Position – Kuwait Oil & Gas EPC Project
A leading multinational Oil & Gas and EPC company is seeking an experienced QA/QC Lead Engineer/Manager for a long-term project in Kuwait. This senior position offers an excellent compensation package of KWD 800-1200 and the opportunity to work on major energy sector projects.
Job Overview
The QA/QC Lead Engineer/Manager will oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for workshop manufacturing of critical equipment including pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, piping systems, and skids. This is a leadership role requiring both technical expertise and team management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage QHSE/QA-QC teams in manufacturing workshops
- Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, and other international standards
- Oversee inspection and testing of pressure equipment and piping systems
- Manage Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation
- Conduct internal and external quality audits
- Supervise NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and welding certification processes
- Implement quality control procedures for fabrication and manufacturing
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Prepare quality reports and documentation for client submission
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 12-15 years in QA/QC leadership roles within Oil & Gas, EPC, or heavy manufacturing industries
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of ASME, API, and ISO standards
- Industry Experience: Hands-on experience with pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, piping, and skid manufacturing
- Certifications: NDT and welding certifications preferred
- Management Skills: Proven ability to lead quality teams effectively
- Documentation: Strong experience with IMS documentation and quality management systems
