This is a direct recruitment opportunity for professionals experienced in subsea umbilical terminations, mechanical assembly, and electrical systems within the energy industry.
Job Overview
The JDR Technician will play a critical role in the assembly, termination, and testing of subsea control systems, umbilicals, and associated hardware. The position demands a high level of technical precision and adherence to strict quality and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Interpret and understand JDR and customer-supplied technical drawings and schematics.
- Verify written and verbal work instructions against drawings and established procedures.
- Perform mechanical assembly of termination components with a thorough understanding of limits, fits, and tolerances.
- Apply appropriate thread lock, sealant, and anti-galling compounds as per specifications.
- Terminate electrical connectors, cable joints, and electrical junction boxes.
- Conduct proof testing (pressure and electrical) on electrical umbilicals and terminations.
- Swage hydraulic and pneumatic hoses and integrate systems into stab plates, winches, etc.
- Perform system flushing and testing as required.
- Safely handle and apply resins and molding materials used in termination processes.
- Maintain high efficiency, timeliness, and professionalism in all work activities.
- Promote JDR products and services positively to clients.
- Obtain and maintain all mandatory offshore certifications (including survival training and full medical clearance).
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a JDR Technician or in a similar subsea/umbilical termination role.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced offshore/oil & gas environment.
- Must be eligible and capable of passing all required offshore safety and medical certifications.
- Strong commitment to quality procedures and safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
