Urgent Hiring: Highway Engineering Professionals for South Sudan Projects
We are urgently seeking experienced Highway Engineering professionals for challenging opportunities in South Sudan. Two critical positions are available for qualified candidates with extensive experience in road design, construction supervision, and project management in post-conflict regions.
Available Positions and Requirements
1. PROJECT MANAGER / SENIOR HIGHWAY ENGINEER
Salary: USD 4000
Educational Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in Highway, Traffic or Transport Engineering or equivalent
- Preferably Chartered or registered Engineer status
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience
- At least 5 years as Team Leader/Project Manager on road design and construction supervision of highway projects
- Experience with safety audit in the region
- Proven record of managing major civil engineering works in post-conflict areas
- Experience on at least two Project Management works of major Road projects under EPC/Design and Build Road upgrading/rehabilitation
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of international ‘best practices’ in engineering contract procedures
- Expertise in construction, contract management and administration
- Modern highway construction technology knowledge
- Consultancy services experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent communication skills
2. ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER / CONTRACTS ENGINEER
Salary: USD 3000
Educational Qualifications:
- Post graduate degree in Civil Engineering
- Preferably Chartered or registered Engineer status
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ post-qualification experience
- At least three (3) similar roads assignments within the last 10 years at same or similar position
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrable skills in roads and bridges design and construction quantities
- Administration of EPC contracts
- Claim documentation and administration expertise
- Fluent in written and spoken English
