Quantity Surveyor Engineer Position at HamdanGlobal for Logistics City Project, KSA
HamdanGlobal, a leading company in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer for our prestigious Logistics City Project. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Arab professionals with experience in large-scale industrial and warehouse developments.
Job Role and Purpose
The Quantity Surveyor Engineer will manage and control project costs by accurately measuring, estimating, and monitoring quantities and costs throughout the lifecycle of a logistics city development. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with approved budgets, schedules, and quality standards while working on one of the region’s most significant logistics infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and quantify all project works including warehouses, residential buildings, infrastructure, and utilities
- Prepare, review, and update Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Perform cost estimation and pricing for all construction activities
- Analyze unit rates and review contractors’ and suppliers’ quotations and tenders
- Prepare, review, and certify interim and final payment certificates
- Evaluate and manage Variation Orders and assess their financial impact on the project
- Coordinate with design, supervision, and site teams to ensure accurate quantities and reflect design changes
- Monitor project cost performance and prepare periodic cost and financial reports
- Review contracts from commercial and quantity perspectives
- Ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and contractual requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or related field)
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost control
- Previous experience in logistics cities, industrial, and warehouse projects
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation
- Proficiency in cost estimation and price analysis
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and payment procedures
Software Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- AutoCAD (Basic to Intermediate)
- Knowledge of project management or quantity surveying software (e.g., Primavera or similar) is an advantage
