Exciting Long-Term Opportunity: QA/QC Welding Inspector Needed for Tanzania Project

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced QA/QC Welding Inspector with specialized expertise in spherical tanks.
Job Overview
This is a long-term project role based in Tanzania, offering stability and significant professional growth in a major industrial setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of welding quality and control for spherical tank construction and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections of welding activities on spherical storage tanks.
- Ensure all welding procedures and processes comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Conduct visual inspections (VT) and review radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), and liquid penetrant (PT) test reports.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor and audit welding procedures, welder qualifications, and welding consumables.
- Interface with project management, contractors, and client representatives on quality matters.
- Identify and report non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience: Must have a proven track record specifically in the inspection of spherical tanks.
- Certification: CSWIP 3.1 Certification is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of international welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
- Strong understanding of material specifications, welding metallurgy, and NDE methods.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a project team environment.
