Key Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating heavy-duty lathe machines to precision-machine large, heavy components for critical oil and gas equipment including pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
- Machining specific parts such as tube sheets, baffle bundles, flanges, and other large-scale industrial components.
- Applying expertise in selecting, setting up, and handling appropriate tooling, cutting tools, and fixtures tailored for various materials (Carbon Steel – CS, Stainless Steel – SS, Alloy Steel – AS).
- Utilizing knowledge of operating radial drilling machines as part of the machining process.
- Ensuring all machined components meet strict industry standards and specifications for safety and performance.
- Adhering to all workplace safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience operating heavy-duty lathes in an industrial setting, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy fabrication industry.
- Proven skill in machining large and heavy components.
- Strong knowledge of different material properties (CS, SS, AS) and appropriate machining techniques for each.
- Experience with radial drilling machines is highly desirable.
- Must be willing and eligible to travel to Saudi Arabia and appear for the mandatory CWQAP exams.
- Candidates available for immediate joining will be given preference.
