M. Gheewala Global HR Consultants is urgently recruiting for a CNC Horizontal Boring Machine (HBM) Operator/Programmer position with a prestigious engineering company in Dubai. Position Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC Horizontal Boring Machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. The company maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification by Bureau Veritas, ensuring high-quality operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Machines (HBM)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process sheets
- Load, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Fanuc/Siemens/Heidenhain controllers
- Perform tool selection, tool offsets, and work offsets
- Carry out boring, drilling, milling, facing, and tapping operations
- Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks
- Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and interpret CMM reports
- Maintain machine accuracy and perform basic preventive maintenance
- Follow safety procedures and implement 5S practices
- Coordinate with quality and production teams to meet production targets
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and HBM operations
- Understanding of cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters
- Basic knowledge of G-codes and M-codes programming
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and program-related issues
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI certification preferred
- 2-8 years of experience operating CNC HBM machines
- Experience with Fanuc or Siemens controllers preferred
