Kirby H Building Systems is actively recruiting experienced Safety Officers for a critical Oil & Gas project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This role is essential for maintaining safety standards and ensuring compliance on-site in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in line with project requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to site personnel and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to local UAE regulations and international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
- Maintain safety documentation and reports for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to promote a culture of safety.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance projects, preferably within the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Certifications: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or IOSH certification is mandatory. Additional certifications like OSHA are a plus.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of safety management systems, hazard identification, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced project environments.
- Familiarity with UAE safety regulations is advantageous.
