Job Opportunity: Rigging Supervisor for Reputed Oil and Gas Company in Oman
We are currently shortlisting candidates for the position of Rigging Supervisor for a large shutdown project with a leading oil and gas company in Oman. This role is critical for ensuring safe and efficient lifting operations in industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess technical, practical, and theoretical training and knowledge of rigging operations.
- Understand and implement risk assessments and lifting plans.
- Ensure the worksite is safe, with no physical obstructions during lifts.
- Supervise and brief trained, competent, and certified lifting team members.
- Monitor lifting operations from start to finish, assessing changes like ground conditions.
- Stop operations if risks are unacceptable or unsafe.
- Conduct toolbox talks and discuss 10 questions for safe lifts.
- Validate equipment certificates and crew competence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in large shutdown jobs within oil & gas, fertilizer, or petrochemical plants.
- Proven training and certification in rigging and lifting operations.
