Job Overview
As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, complying with safety regulations, and implementing best practices. This position requires immediate attention and offers FAT (Flight and Accommodation) provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in line with international standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with local Omani safety laws and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into all phases of EPC projects.
- Maintain safety records and documentation for audits.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have proven experience working in the Gulf region (e.g., UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman).
- Preference for candidates with experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) companies, especially Korean firms.
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and handle emergency situations.
