Qualification Requirements
For Care Assistants:
- Care Certificate (Level 2) mandatory.
- NVQ/Health Diploma preferred.
- Level 5 Diploma expected for managerial posts.
For Nurses:
- Nursing degree (B.Sc./Diploma).
- NMC registration mandatory.
Registration & Competency Testing
Care Assistants:
- No statutory registration required.
- Care Certificate sufficient for entry.
Nurses:
- NMC registration required.
- CBT & OSCE for international candidates.
Language Proficiency
- Basic English competency required for care assistants.
- IELTS/OET as per NMC standards for nurses.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience for senior care assistant roles.
- Minimum 6-12 months of clinical experience for nurses.
Background Checks & Documentation
- Enhanced DBS check mandatory for care assistants.
- Standard criminal background checks for nurses.
- Valid right-to-work documentation required.
Additional Certifications
- First Aid Certificate often required for care assistants.
- Not mandatory for nurses.
